Without a Net is a live album by the Grateful Dead, recorded between October 1989 and April 1990. The album was released in 1990 and is made up of tracks recorded during their fall 1989 and spring 1990 tours, it was released as a two-CD set, and later as a three-LP set. The album was produced by Jerry Garcia, John Cutler and David Lemieux.
The album features live versions of songs from throughout the band's career, including "Touch of Grey", "Foolish Heart", "Truckin'", and "Dark Star". It also includes covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry, and Buddy Holly.
The album was recorded with a new state-of-the-art mobile recording facility, which enabled the band to produce a high-quality live recording that captures the energy and spontaneity of their live performances.
